Hi!

So yesterday the ranking was revealed and I came up #593 overall.

Some people told me "oh, so you lost?" and I laugh. Are you kidding me? #593, with 6.2k entries and I lost? That's a huge win!!!

Especially considering it was my first game jam I feel like I did pretty good, not only that but I feel like i learned so much I don't even know where to begin the list of things i learned.

So, thank you if you rated and\or tried Super Dice Boy, it was a ton of fun to make!!!

Upcoming Update

The jam is over but I still haven't finished updating the game and won't stop until I get to the point I originally planned.

This time I'm working mostly on graphics upgrade. I'm not a really good artist so it's still not perfect, but I'm trying my best.

Here's some notable upgrades:

• The tileset has been completely remade. It's now a bit more detailed and less dull. I'm still not 100% happy with it so it's probable that I'll keep working on it before I release the update.
• Added background decorations for the level design (trees, rocks, bushes, flowers and so on)
• Added a squish animation when the player jumps and lands
• Added some animal npcs. Still not sure if they will interact with the gameplay or will only be decorations
• Added a proper graphic sprite for the switch and the door
• Changed the player jump sound

And more that I probably can't recall at the moment.

I'm also working on a new main menu screen, but I want it to be good so I'm nowhere near finished with that and it probably won't be finished for when I plan to release the update.  If I don't hit any major roadblock, the update should be released in the next days. 

It will also include some bug fixes (especially for the co-op mode).

I have a couple of ideas how to use the birds but I won't share it yet. I first want to implement it and test it and see if it's actually fun.
